Build Waist High Garden Boxes Never Kneel Or Bend Again
(Updated with new pictures and videos)
I love to garden. Last winter I broke my ankle and had to spend most of the spring in a wheel chair. This unfortunate incident forced me to look for alternative methods to satisfy my gardening passion. To give up gardening was not an option. I did some quick research and made a list of things I would need in order to accomplish my new goal.
My List

I began to search for plans to build a few planter boxes and was pleasantly surprised when I came across the GardenRack Website. I found many websites that had a lot of really great information about building planter boxes but since I was going to spend the money for new planter boxes why not look for something I could use all year round. I wanted a planter box that I could move inside after summer. When I found the GardenRack Website the in-door planter problem was solved. This website covered all the information I was looking for. Two free e-books about the GardenRack, a free subscription to “ Frugal Gardener” a monthly newsletter and two eight week tutorials. One on cooking and growing herbs and the other about how to get rid of garden pests without using chemicals. Now I was excited. I could see those vegetables growing right before my eyes.

The GardenRack is a snap to put together. The materials are easy-to-find at your local hardware store. You won’t need sophisticated power tools and the plans are very easy to read.
The GardenRack isn’t just for outside growing. It can be set up under grow lights in a spare room for year round growing. I like the thought of growing my own lettuce as the snow blows and howls around my windows come November.

It’s that time of year to start thinking about our 2010 gardens. I live in northern Alberta Canada where it is still snowing. Everyone here is focused on the Olympics for the next couple of weeks. So what better time to plan our gardens in between watching the events.
I have been looking around for green house plans and came across a site that might be helpful for those ready to build a greenhouse.
Since this is a new adventure for me, I looked for plans that were economical and easy to build. I know that building your own greenhouse is not as easy as hammering some wood and plastic together. That you also need to take into account materials, dimensions, ventilation, heating, positioning and irrigation just to name a few things. So I looked for plans that would teach me the basics and provide me with the above information.
I found a site that covered most of what I needed to get started. They have several different plans and you can be as fancy or economical as you want. Here are examples of the plans

This e-Book tells you everything about greenhouses from choosing the kind of structure that would suit you best to picking the appropriate utilities and plants.
